Free Credits

A campaign budget serves as a means of managing your total campaign spend. Whenever a click comes in, the monetary value of the click is deducted from the remaining campaign budget. Once the campaign budget is depleted, we will prevent ads from being served. If you want your ads to keep running, you should add additional budget to your campaign.

Free credits can be awarded for various reasons, but mostly serve as a means to compensate advertisers. Free credits budgets (if available) are prioritized over any other budget and will therefore always be used first.

Additionally:

  • Free credit clicks are not assigned to account budget(s), free credit clicks are only assigned to daily limit(s) and/or campaign budget(s)

  • Free credit clicks will (by default) be enriched with the billingAdvertiserId being equal to the advertiserId

  • In case multiple free credit budgets are assigned, they will be treated as separate budgets and prioritized similar to how we prioritize account budgets:

    1. We check which free credits budgets are valid on today’s date.

    2. Based on the end date, we select the budget that expires first (free credits budgets without a validity end date will expire last).

    3. If multiple free credits budgets have the same validity end date, we select the free credit budget that was created earlier.
