Changes to Retailer API release cycle and migration information
Starting from 2024, we have made significant changes to our Retailer API release cycle to enhance user experience and streamline operations. Here are the key updates:
Communication of releases
New versions of the Retailer API will be released only in the event of introducing breaking changes to specific resources. Prior to release, these planned version updates will be posted on our Developers Portal at least 14 days in advance. Additionally, developers have the option to follow our bol Developers Feed or via bol Partner Platform and Developer Platform to stay informed about any changes or known issues.
For minor enhancements that do not disrupt existing implementations, upgrades to a resource version will not be necessary. However, these improvements will still be communicated through the Developers Portal.
Release notes will still be updated with the technical information regarding that specific release.
Deprecated versions
When a new version of a specific resource is introduced, the preceding resource is designated as deprecated. According to our Terms of Service, deprecated resources are scheduled for removal after a minimum support period of 12 months. However, in the case of the Advertising API, the support period for deprecated resources is currently set at 3 months. Throughout the Deprecation stage, the Retailer API will continue to be fully supported, and all endpoints will remain active until their eventual removal.
Please refer to versioning per resource page for more detailed information. |
